F-150 Violently Rear Ends Plaintiffs’ Sedan
Facts: On August 25, 2009, was the belted driver of a Honda Accord. Plaintiff was stopped at the corner of Old Galveston and Park Place Roads attempting to make a right turn when, suddenly and without warning, a Ford F-150 pickup truck driven Defendant, and leased by Defendant’s employer, rear-ended Plaintiff’s vehicle. As a result of the collision, Plaintiff was seriously injured.
Injuries: Plaintiff suffered from neck pain which radiated into her hands and fingers, and low back pain following the collision, and underwent a conservative course of therapy initially in an effort to recover from her injuries and manage the pain. Ultimately, however, due to a diagnosis of a disk rupture at C4-5 and C5-6 and the failure of treatment to that point, Plaintiff underwent anterior C4-5 and C5-6 diskectomy with a partial vertebral body replacement in February 2011.
Damages: Plaintiff’s combined Medical Expenses exceeded $180,000.00
